The Leven Programme is committed to working directly with those who live, work and visit the local area. The River Park Programme as the most active project in the Programme began delivery phase in June 2025.

We are looking for organisations, companies and individuals to undertake paid projects. Below is a list of the current projects out to tender.

  • Design of new River Park Programme website

Green Action Trust as the trusted delivery partner of the River Park Programme is seeking Notes of Interest from consultants or agencies to deliver a new website for the c£5m River Park Programme. The work will be delivered between March and June 2026 as part of the River Park Programme’s delivery phase. The value of the work will be up to £20,000 excluding VAT.  
 
Notes of interest to be submitted by email with the subject line [RPP Website Note of Interest] to kate.kirkwood@greenactiontrust.org by 12 noon on 4th February 2026.

  • Pollinator Education and Planting Programme Delivery Partner 

Help Primary School Pupils Learn About Pollinators and Green Habitats 

Green Action Trust is looking for someone to run outdoor learning and pollinator planting sessions for primary school classes around the River Park. 

The Pollinator Education and Planting Programme is part of the Building Biodiversity and Habitats activity strand delivered by the Green Action Trust. It engages primary school pupils in outdoor learning about pollinators, biodiversity, and habitats, followed by practical planting activities that enhance pollinator-friendly spaces within the River Park. 

The programme includes four half-day outdoor learning sessions and four half-day planting sessions. Delivery will take place before winter 2026, with dates agreed with the facilitator and schools. Planting locations will be decided by the facilitator, and plant materials will be provided by Green Action Trust. 

Up to 120 pupils per year will take part. 

Partnership working with the Green Action Trust engagement team will be an important part of delivery.

  • Heritage and Archaeology  Employability Project 

We are looking for people to join our Heritage and Archaeology Employability Course. It offers structured training in fieldwork, research, and transferable skills that can be used in a wide range of different sectors. Designed to enhance employability, this programme provides practical experience to help build your CV, and connect with industry professionals—all while exploring fascinating heritage sites. No prior experience required. 

The employability project will run three times , each cycle consisting of three phases. Participants can do one, two or all three phases. 

The Heritage and Archaeology Employability Course is a flexible, practical programme designed to build skills, confidence and real-world experience. The project runs three times, with each cycle made up of three phases. Participants can choose to take part in one, two or all three phases.

The course begins with introductory training, a 10-week programme combining on-site work and indoor learning. Delivered twice weekly, it introduces archaeology basics, site safety, interpretation and a wide range of transferable workplace skills.

This is followed by an intensive three-week field school, offering an immersive, hands-on experience in excavation, surveying and conservation, giving participants a taste of real-world heritage work.

The final phase is a one-week paid work placement with an archaeology employer or third-sector heritage organisation, providing valuable workplace experience, networking opportunities and flexible arrangements to fit around existing commitments.

Timetable

  • Course 1: February – June 2026 

  • Course 2: August – October 2026 

  • Course 3: February – June 2027 

Deadline for applications for Course 1 is 23rd February

The first course starts on the 23rd of February and the first 10-week block will run every Monday and Wednesday, 10.30 - 14.30, until the 6th of May.
