This September, the River Park Team invites you to roll up your sleeves and uncover the fascinating history of Methil Mill. From September 18th–23rd, our archaeologists will be leading a community excavation, and we’d love you to join us.
Whether you’re completely new to archaeology or already an enthusiast, this is a rare opportunity to get hands-on with the past and help us discover more about one of Methil’s historic sites. No prior experience is required – everyone is welcome.

If you’d prefer not to take part in the dig itself, we’d still love to welcome you to the site. On Sunday 21st September (11am–3pm), the dig will be open for tours. You’ll have the chance to meet the archaeologists, ask questions, and see the artefacts discovered so far.
