A Wonderful Addition to the MCCI Children’s Garden
Staff at MCCI are always listening to the voices of the children at the Methilhill Community Childrens Initiative. When they said they would love a trampoline in the outdoor nursery, we knew it was something special and something worth making happen.
Outdoor play is an essential part of childhood development, and we are committed to creating spaces that inspire movement, imagination and wellbeing. With this in mind, they reached out to us to help. We asked our construction partners, Mackenzie Construction, to see if they could help us bring the children’s idea to life.
Nichola Alexander, Project Manager at MCCI said: “This trampoline has been a great asset to the garden and as it was requested by the children it was very important for us to fulfil their wishes. It will benefit the children as trampolining and bouncing improves physical strength and balance as well as coordination and confidence. The trampoline is also great for helping children with their emotional wellbeing as bouncing can help to regulate emotions and reduces anxiety.”

The trampoline is already bringing laughter, energy and joy to the garden. It represents more than just play equipment it reflects our commitment to listening to our community, supporting their needs where we can and working in partnership to create meaningful opportunities such as these.
